HANSIE CRONJE was reappointed as captain of the South African cricket team for the 1997/98 season on Monday. Cronje’s reign will start with next month’s tour of Pakistan and will run up to the conclusion of next year’s five Tests against England.
Western Province’s Gary Kirsten was appointed as vice-captain.
