KLUSENER TOP CUP BATTING AVERAGES

NOT suprsingly Lance Klusener topped the batting averages at the 1999 cricket World Cup. The player of the tournament played eight innings in nine matches, and was not out in six of them. With a run total of 281 — including a two unbeatedn 50s and the highest tally of sixes — he finished with an average of 140.5. He was followed by Australia’s Tom Moody with 117, the West Indies’ Ridley Jacobs (102.5), Australain captian Steve Waugh (79.6), New Zealander Roger Twose (79.5), and Minhazul Abedin of Bangladesh (70).
