HEATH CLARIFIES LAND BANK PROBE

THE Heath special investigation unit on Thursday retracted an earlier statement that it is investigating former Land Bank chairman Bonile Jack. The Heath unit said in a statement that Jack’s alleged involvement in the sale of three state farms in the Eastern Cape had been dealt with in 1996. “We apologise to Jack for any inconvenience caused as a result,” the statement read. Earlier it was reported that Jack, who recently accused Land Bank managing director Helena Dolny of corruption, was himself being probed.
