MINOR EARTHQUAKE ROCKS GUINEA

A MINOR earthquake measuring two on the Richter scale caused extensive damage in the Guinean town of Forecariah on Sunday, witnesses said on Monday. No deaths were reported but tremors were felt on the outskirts of the capital Conakry, 70 km to the west. The west African country is a major exporter of bauxite and also produces gold and diamonds.
