SOUTH African athlete Hestrie Storbeck set a new African women’s high jump record at the IAAF Herculis athletics meeting in Monte Carlo on Wednesday night. Storbeck set a new record of 2,02m with her first jump, then bettered it to 2,04m on her second. In second and third position in the event were Ukrainian Inga Babakova and Romanian Monica Dinescu-Iagar, who both managed a distant 1,9m.
