MUYONGO STAYING IN DENMARK

NAMIBIA’S hopes of bringing Caprivi secessionist leader Mishake Muyongo to trial appear to be fading as Danish officials rule out the possibility of his being tried outside his host country. Under Danish laws, a citizen or immigrant can only stand trial in Denmark if a suspect has committed a crime in a foreign country. So far, the Danish government has not received any request from Namibia to try Muyongo. Instead, they’ve asked the Danes to withdraw Muyongo’s refugee privileges.
