OMAR LENDS SUPPORT TO WORLD AIDS DAY

Transport Minister Dullah Omar is hosting a big Aids Awareness Concert at the Johannesburg Park Station on World Aids Day on Wednesday. The event is being organised by the South African Rail Commuter Corporation in conjunction with Intersite. Omar will sign the “Long Life Love Train”, which will be parked at one of the station’s platforms. It forms part of an ongoing campaign to raise HIV/Aids awareness amongst the youth. Although Park Station is the focus, SARCC stations in Cape Town and Berea, Durban will also host similar activities, while other stations across the country will act as distribution points for flyers and free condoms.
