THE quarterfinal draw for the Vodacom Cup was announced by Sarfu on Monday following the final group matches over the weekend. Griquas, despite suffering a surprise 17-27 loss to the Leopards in Potchefstroom on Saturday, still hold on to top spot in the North section with an impressive six wins from seven matches. Griquas will host Boland, with three wins, one draw and two losses, who hold on to fourth spot in the Southern section after weekend losses by the Bulldogs and the Wildebeeste. That match will be played at 4pm Friday. The Cheetahs clinched top spot in the South Section with their impressive victory over the Wildebeeste in Durban and will host the Lions, who clinched fourth spot in the North with their hard fought 20-14 win over the Bulls. The match will be played at Free State Stadium on Saturday at 5pm. Western Province clinched second spot in the Southern Section with their 53-27 win over the Vodacom Bulldogs on Friday night and they will host the Bulls, who finished third in the North. The match will be held at Newlands on Saturday and will kick off at 3pm. The last quarter-final will see the Falcons, second in the North, hosting EP who finished third in the South. The match kicks off at 5pm in Brakpan on Saturday.
