NAME CHANGE FOR GENSEC

GENSEC Asset Management, South Africa’s second-biggest fund manager, is to change its name to Sanlam Investment Management after a buyout of the minority shareholding which Sanlam held in Gensec. The change, which would better reflect the company’s broader international focus, would take effect on April 2, the company said in a statement. Future plans for the group include accessing the multi-billion pound medium-sized UK pension fund market as a first step to establishing a footprint in Europe and the United States. – Reuters
