SUDANESE authorities ordered the suspension of two daily newspapers on Wednesday for publishing articles deemed offensive to other journalists, Suna news agency reported. The country’s National Press Council slapped the one-day suspension on Alwan and Al-Usbu for articles written by their chief editors, saying they violated a code of honour endorsed by the Sudanese journalists’ union. – AFP
