SHOOTING IN BLOEM LEAVES THREE DEAD

THREE people were killed outside the Arthur Nathan municipal pool in Bloemfontein during a shooting over the weekend, Free State police said on Monday. Captain Ernest Mayiki said a man shot dead a woman soon after they got out of a taxi around 7.30pm on Sunday. A second man was wounded when he intervened. During the ensuing struggle, the wounded man grabbed the gun away from the assailant, who was shot dead. The wounded man was admitted to the Pelonomi Hospital, where he died of his wounds. The names of the dead were not released. The police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting. – Sapa
