Kempton siblings not guilty of ‘dog rape’

A Gauteng couple accused of forcing their domestic worker to have sexual intercourse with a dog were found not guilty in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court, according to news reports on Saturday.

Siblings Cheri Wang (24) and Ken Wang (26) were accused of beating up their 19-year-old employee, who may not be named, in April last year.

Magistrate Hennie van der Merwe told the court on Friday the woman had blatantly lied.

Following the verdict, the Wang’s advocate, DJ Joubert, accused the media of making a fuss about absolute nonsense.

When the woman first made the accusations, there was a huge media outcry and the Gauteng social services and population development department and various NGOs also condemned the incident.

The couple were alleged to have shot at the woman and to have forced her to have sexual intercourse with their black Rottweiler.

This was allegedly punishment for sloppy housework. The woman was employed at the Wang family plot in Kempton Park.

The siblings were found not guilty of all charges, which included indecent assault, pointing a firearm, discharging a gun in a residential area, and assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm. — Sapa
