The South African Football Association will host the annual Cosafa Under-20 Cup in Gauteng from November 27 to December 5.
Tournament coordinator Sipho Nkumane said 13 Southern Africa countries will take part in this tournament, won by Zambia in Johannesburg last year.
The participating countries are hosts South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Angola, Mozambique, Madagascar, Mauritius, the Seychelles, Malawi, Lesotho and Swaziland.
”We are delighted to announce that all the 13 Cosafa member countries have confirmed their participation in this year’s tournament,” said Nkumane.
”The matches will be played in Gauteng but the exact venues will be announced during the launch.
”The competition will be stiff, with the majority of the countries preparing themselves for the 2005 African Youth Championships finals in Benin early next year.” — Sapa
