Kaizer Chiefs lost another two points when they played to a goalless draw with rookie team Benoni Premier United in their Premier Soccer League game at the Germiston stadium on Sunday.
The game started at a slow pace, with United having the upper hand. Chiefs were frustrated by United’s tricks of having one striker up front and packing the midfield with four midfielders, denying Amakhosi any surprise upfront.
In the second half, Chiefs’ coach Ernst Middendorf changed his tactics, introducing two strikers — David Radebe for Junior Kaizer Motaung and Gert Schalkwyk for David Mathebula — but still failed to penetrate United’s brick wall.
Both teams have two points from two games.
