TNA Media, publishers of The New Age, has appointed Nazeem Howa as chief executive officer of the company, The Times reported on Thursday.
“I am excited about joining The New Age and being part of an exciting and talented team launching a new daily newspaper into the South African market,” the report quoted Howa as saying.I am extremely optimistic about the future of The New Age as I believe it will add a new and vibrant independent voice to the South African media landscape.”
Howa is currently chief operations officer at Independent News and Media, is a director of the South African Press Association (Sapa), a director of the Audit Bureau of Circulations and serves on several committees of the Print Media and Newspaper Association (PMSA), The Times said.
Atul Gupta, executive chairman of The New Age, was quoted as saying: “We are delighted that Nazeem, with his wealth of experience within the publishing trade, joins The New Age.” — Sapa
