Notice: Development of the Gauteng Integrated Waste Management Plan
The Gauteng Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (GDARD) intends to develop an Integrated Waste Management Plan for the Gauteng Province.
The Gauteng Integrated Waste Management Plan (IWMP) will give effect in respect of waste management to Chapter 3 of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act (Act 59 of 2008).
The IWMP intends, amongst others, to provide for the implementation of waste minimisation, re-use, recycling and recovery targets and initiatives.
