Paparazzi are getting a lot of bad press these days, so it takes some chutzpah to launch a photography exhibit called Paparazzi as an Art Form in the heart of celebrityville. Buzz Foto hopes its 26 shots will show that paparazzi photography, despite its reputation for intrusiveness and bad manners, can be a form of art.

A wildfire fuelled by gusty winds destroyed dozens of homes from the mountains to the beaches of southern California’s ritzy Malibu on Saturday and was only partially under control, fire officials said. Thirty-five multimillion-dollar, ranch-style homes in the canyons of central Malibu were destroyed.

Irish rock star Bono went on a shopping spree and appeared on the influential Oprah Winfrey TV chat show on Friday to launch his latest campaign to fight HIV/Aids in Africa. Saying he was convinced that ”this generation can be the generation that says ‘no’ to extreme poverty” in Africa, the U2 singer and activist urged Americans to buy ”Red”-branded clothes, cell phones, shoes and iPods.
