Tornadoes have swept through portions of the United States Midwest, killing at least three people in Missouri, blowing roofs off homes in Illinois and Arkansas, and damaging about 60% of the buildings on the University of Kansas campus. A fourth storm death was reported in Indiana.
Aviation’s adventuresome duo of Steve Fossett and Richard Branson are at it again, announcing plans for another world record flight in the Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer. Fossett became the first person to fly non-stop and without refuelling around the globe, starting from and ending in Salina, Kansas, in March.
