A senior government official on Monday rejected a call from Benazir Bhutto for foreign experts to help investigate the suicide attack on her homecoming procession. Bhutto said on Sunday she wanted United States and British experts to assist in the probe into Thursday night’s bombing in Karachi.
Pakistan said on Tuesday it expects to hear ”conclusive” word in about two weeks’ time on how national cricket coach Bob Woolmer died during the recent World Cup.
Jamaican investigators ”will take 10 to 15 days to come out with a conclusive report” on the cause of Woolmer’s death, a senior Interior Ministry official told reporters.

Pakistan’s army was flying geologists to an isolated north-western valley on Tuesday to investigate reports of possible volcanic activity after the massive October 8 earthquake, an official said, adding that aftershocks and landslides could be confusing terrified villagers.
A suicide attacker detonated a huge bomb that ripped through a Shi’ite Muslim mosque in an eastern Pakistani city during Friday prayers, killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens, officials said. Police said that hundreds of people were inside the Zainabia mosque in the centre of Sialkot city at the time of the blast, which severely damaged walls and left body parts scattered inside.
Three terror suspects who were captured in a raid on a suspected terrorist hide-out in eastern Pakistan were from Kenya, South Africa and Sudan, but it was not clear whether they had any links with al-Qaeda, a spokesperson said on Monday. The suspects were captured by police during a raid on a house in Gujrat early on Sunday after a 12-hour shootout.
