Springbok skipper Corne Krige said on Wednesday players are taking legal advice over images screened around the world showing South Africa’s national rugby team naked at a military-style ”boot camp”. Sports Minister Ngconde Balfour summoned rugby chiefs to a meeting on Wednesday to learn more about the camp.

Leeds on the brink of insolvency

Shares in Leeds United plunged nearly 20% on Wednesday after the struggling Premiership club warned it is in serious danger of being forced into administration. The warning came on the day the club had planned to announce details of a restructuring of debts of nearly £80-million.

Obasanjo: No Mugabe at summit

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has not been invited to the Commonwealth summit due to be held in Nigeria next month, Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo said on Tuesday. Mugabe and Pakistan’s President Pervez Musharraf will not be attending as their nations are suspended from the Commonwealth’s ruling councils.
