No showdown between Sabbatini and Woods

The anticipated head-to-head between Rory Sabbatini and Tiger Woods never materialised in Sunday’s final round at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. Sabbatini gets another shot at Woods

Rory Sabbatini settled after an early double bogey to salvage a two-over 72 and build a one-shot lead over Tiger Woods in the Bridgestone Invitational. Woods dropped out of a share for the lead with a bogey from the trees on the final hole, but still managed a 69 and left himself a good chance to win this World Golf Championship for the third straight year.

Woods: Get ahead of the game in drug testing

Tiger Woods said he would like to see testing on the PGA Tour for performance-enhancing drugs as soon as possible to make sure golf remains clean. ”I don’t know when we could get that implemented,” Woods said. ”Tomorrow would be fine with me.” Woods did not say he thought anyone was using steroids, but said it could be a problem in the future.
