Opposition leader Alpha Conde was early on Tuesday declared the winner in Guinea’s presidential election, taking 52,5% of votes.
Guinea, struggling to recover from a 2008 coup, has delayed the announcement of last Sunday’s polls for several days amid mounting complaints.
Initial results show former Guinea PM eCllou Dalain Diallo holds a firm lead with 73% of the vote against opposition rival Alpha Conde.
