A Durban motorist was shot on Tuesday while a second bullet narrowly missed another driver, paramedics said. ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said the motorists came under fire on the N2/N3 split, near the so-called Spaghetti Junction, after a car accident just after midnight.

An alleged robber was run over by a taxi on Saturday while escaping a Durban crime scene. ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said the man sustained severe head injuries and was declared dead at the scene. It is alleged that the man had robbed a woman who had been walking with two men along Berea Road.

At least 14 Durban school pupils were injured on Wednesday when a tipper lorry crashed into a school in the Lindelani area, north of Durban, police said. Police spokesperson Inspector Michael Read said a truck ploughed into a high school, injuring pupils. ER24 spokesperson Derrick Banks said they had transported 14 school pupils to hospital.
