SuperSport United thrashed Orlando Pirates 3-1 in an Absa Premier League match at Loftus Stadium on Wednesday night. Siboniso Gaxa, Bongani Khumalo and Katlego Mashego netted for SuperSport and Teko Modise got the consolation goal for Pirates.

Golden Arrows beat Orlando Pirates 2-1 in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) clash at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban on Saturday. There was no score at half-time. Amazulu registered their second win of the PSL season when they beat Black Leopards 2-1 in scorching heat at Giyani Stadium, Thohoyandou.

The growing suspicion that South African soccer teams had forgotten how to play quality soccer was happily debunked in Durban on Saturday night when Mamelodi Sundowns edged out Orlando Pirates 1-0 in an entertaining, skilful SAA Supa8 final before a near-capacity, appreciative 45 000 crowd.
With a script as strange and uncanny as that penned by a fiction writer, Orlando Pirates secured a frenzied 2-1 extra-time victory over SuperSport United in the SAA Supa8 semifinal at Durban’s King’s Park Stadium on Thursday night, with much-maligned coach Bibey Mutombo emerging the unlikely hero.
