Around 15 000 striking transport workers are expected to return to work on Wednesday, although that will not include the main transport union, Satawu.
The four unions involved in the road freight strike have rejected the Road Freight Employers’ Association’s latest offer, the company said.
The wage offer made to striking road freight workers was increased to 8% across the board after 5pm on Wednesday, Satawu said.
