Santos and Chiefs draw again

It hardly required a soothsayer to forecast the goalless draw in the Premier League game between ”goalless-draw champions” Santos and Kaizer Chiefs at a windswept Athlone Stadium on Sunday evening. ”We played against the wind in the first half,” complained Chiefs coach Muhsin Ertugral afterwards, ”and could not master it”.

Chiefs score three for rare victory

Kaizer Chiefs left behind their inconsistent ways by taking down Free State Stars 3-0 in wet conditions in their Absa Premiership match played at Olympia Park in Rustenburg on Wednesday night. Kinnah Phiri’s charges collapsed when it mattered most — in the second half — as Mabhuti Khanyeza, Onismor Bhasera and Shaun Bartlett scored goals.

Ajax dismiss Chiefs to top the log

After a period extending over six seasons and 11 games without a Premier Soccer League victory over Kaizer Chiefs, Ajax Cape Town on Saturday night earned a dour, back-to-the-wall 1-0 victory over their nemeses that elevated them to top position in the log.
