Two robbery suspects had a rough day on Friday trying to elude police during the second round of the PGA Chrysler Championship. After allegedly breaking into a nearby home, the two males, described by police as ”juveniles,” fled onto the Innisbrook Resort golf course which is hosting the PGA Tour.

Carl Pettersson steadied his nerves and his swing down the stretch and scored an even-par 71 to win the Chrysler Championship for his first United States PGA Tour victory on Sunday. Chad Campbell made five birdies on the back nine in a terrific charge, including a 12-foot putt that swirled into the cup on the 18th hole.

Sweden’s Carl Pettersson, seeking his first United States PGA Tour triumph, fired a four-under-par 67 on Saturday to match American Steve Lowery for the lead after three rounds at the Chrysler Championship. Pettersson, with one career European Tour victory, fired the second-best round of the day.

Defending champion Vijay Singh missed the cut on Friday at the Chrysler Championship, where Steve Lowery seized the second-round lead with a five-under-par 66. A four-time winner on the United States tour this year, Singh followed up his first-round 74 with a 71, missing the cut, which fell at 144 by one stroke.
