Aftershocks rattle California

A series of earthquakes on Thursday shook the Paso Robles area of California, where a magnitude-6,5 quake earlier this week killed two people, flattened historic buildings and caused -million in damage. There were no reports of damage or injuries from the Christmas Day temblors.

California picks up after quake

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger toured the community hardest hit by California’s first deadly earthquake in nine years, declaring a local state of emergency even as aftershocks rattled beneath the central wine country. There had been 100 magnitude-3 or higher aftershocks by Wednesday morning.
