Iran’s foreign minister said on Tuesday that his country was willing to restart negotiations with the European Union immediately over its nuclear-enrichment programme. "Iran is ready to respond positively in resuming negotiations," Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said following Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) talks.
Iran on Monday spurned the prospect of European Union incentives to end its nuclear programme, saying the bloc must acknowledge its right to nuclear technology. "The main incentive for Iran is to recognise the essential right of Iran to have nuclear technology," Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said when asked about the incentive plan.
Microsoft founder Bill Gates on Tuesday brushed off the threat posed by Linux software in Asia and pushed for the use of the Windows operating system in Malaysia. Unlike expensive Windows operating systems, Linux is available for free over the internet while piracy of Windows software in Asia is rampant.
