Massa wins Bahrain Grand Prix

Brazil’s Felipe Massa driving a Ferrari won the Bahrain Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday to record his third career victory. Englishman Lewis Hamilton was second in a McClaren — becoming the first driver to finish on the podium in his first three Grand Prix — and Kimi Raikkonen of Finland in another Ferrari was third.

Massa takes pole postion at Bahrain GP

Felipe Massa took the pole position on Saturday for the Bahrain Grand Prix, leading the field in qualifying for the fourth time in the last five Formula One races. It was the fifth career pole, and second straight, for the Ferrari driver. He ended the 2006 season with two pole positions, but only won the Brazilian GP.

Alonso beats Schumacher in Bahrain

Fernando Alonso warned on Sunday that he is in no mood to give up his world driver’s crown without a fight by beating Ferrari’s Michael Schumacher in the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix. Alonso made use of a perfect strategy from his Renault team to win by 1,2 seconds from pole-sitter Schumacher.
