Raikkonen wins British Grand Prix ‘at last’

Kimi Raikkonen confirmed his and Ferrari’s return to form with a dazzling triumph in Sunday’s British Grand Prix as home hero Lewis Hamilton struggled home third. The 27-year-old Finn took full advantage of Ferrari’s excellent strategy and tyre problems that slowed both Hamilton and his McLaren Mercedes-Benz teammate and defending champion Fernando Alonso.

Alonso wins British Grand Prix

Defending world champion Fernando Alonso blew away his opposition on a windy day at Silverstone to take his fifth win of the season in the British Grand Prix on Sunday. Spaniard Alonso (24) led from start to finish to give Renault their first Silverstone win as a constructor since 1983.

Montoya wins despite pressure

Juan Pablo Montoya soaked up the pressure of championship leader Fernando Alonso to secure victory in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on Sunday and claim his first success for the McLaren team. The McLaren driver beat home series leader Alonso of Spain in a Renault, while Finn Kimi Raikkonen was third.

Schumi not too optimistic about British race

Michael Schumacher admitted in Silverstone on Friday that the British Grand Prix could see his Ferrari team repeat the disappointing performance they suffered in last weekend’s French Grand Prix. The Magny-Cours race saw him finish more than one minute behind the winning Renault of championship leader Fernando Alonso in the race.
