Morocco out to spoil Ghana’s party

Ghana need only to draw their last Group A game on Monday against Morocco to keep alive their dream of winning the Africa Cup of Nations on home turf. Mathematically it is still possible for Morocco or Guinea to secure the two tickets to the quarterfinals, but two wins out of two have left the Black stars in the strongest position in the group.

Morocco start Cup countdown by beating Zambia

Morocco began their countdown to the African Cup of Nations in Ghana this month with a 2-0 triumph over fellow qualifiers Zambia on Saturday. The warm-up match ahead of the biennial tournament from January 20 to February 10 was settled within 10 minutes soon after half-time through goals from Tarik Sektioui and Soufiane Alloudi.
