JAPAN DOMINATES 250CC

JAPANESE riders Shinya Nakano (Yamaha) and Honda-mounted Dajiro Katoh and Tohru Ukawa totally dominated Sunday 250cc South African Grand Prix in Welkom to finish first, second and third respectively. Nakano easily led from start to finish, but his compatriots fought a race-long battle, before Katoh fought back to finish 0.8 seconds behind Nakano.
