Police found the car of murdered fashion designer Richard Bloom abandoned in the parking lot of a Cape Town shopping mall shortly before 2am on Wednesday.
Spokesperson Superintendent Billy Jones police had received a tip-off shortly before midnight and later found the charcoal-coloured VW Polo Playa at the Vangate Mall in Athlone.
”I cannot confirm anything about the car. It has been sent off for forensic testing,” said Jones.
Bloom and his friend, actor Brett Goldin, were found dead beside a highway on Monday morning, having been shot in the back of their heads.
On Tuesday three men appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on provisional charges of possession of stolen property.
Shavon Marlie (25) Clinton Davids (23) and Rameez Zaeed (23) were arrested on Sunday and directed police to the bodies of the two men.
The case will come up again before the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Friday. – Sapa
