A FORMER agent of the Civil Co-operation Bureau and a boat skipper appeared in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday in connection with last month’s huge arms cache founds at Redhouse outside the city.
The former agent, Cassie Kruger, and skipper Willie Hennop were arrested on Monday as they docked their yacht in the Port Elizabeth harbour. Both were released on bail and the case was postponed to Thursday.
Both men were arrested in connection with the cache, which included RPG-7 rocket launchers, rifle-grenades, ammunition and SKS assault rifles of Russian and Chinese origin. The cache was found at the private residence of Dennis Kilian (53), who was later arrested and released on R5000 bail.
