FORMER Orlando Pirates midfield star Clifford “Tough” Moleka was killed in a car accident near Johannesburg International Airport on Monday morning.
Moleka, who was on loan to Nyanga Seven Stars, was on his way to the airport to return to Cape Town when he swerved to avoid a truck and lost control of his car. He was killed instantly and his brother, who was with him in the car, sustained minor injuries.
Pirates executive director Irwin Khoza said that Moleka’s death “is a terrible blow and a great loss for the entire nation”.
