BAFANA Bafana coach Trott Moloto on Tuesday drafted Jomo Cosmos midfielder Godfrey Sapula into his squad for the African Nations Cup qualifier against Mauritius on Saturday. Sapula replaces John Moeti, who was axed from the squad on Monday due to disciplinary squabbles with Orlando Pirates. “It was not easy to arrive at a replacement for Moeti and although many were speculating who I should bring in we had really to consider two options,” Moloto said on making the announcement after the squad’s training session at Esselen Park on Tuesday. Moloto chose to bring in a long-term replacement for Moeti, rather than take the short-term option and Sapula has the potential to fill Moeti’s role for some time to come.
