AFRICAN Nations Cup qualifying fixtures this weekend:
South Africa face Gabon on Saturday in Group 4, while Angola take on Mauritius. South Africa leads the group. Group 1 leaders Ghana face bottom-ranked Eritrea, while third place Cameroon take on second place Mozambique. In Group 2, top of the list Morocco, Africa’s highest ranked team, meet Togo, second in the group. Third place Guinea is scheduled to meet Sierra Leone, but previous matches with the Leoneans have been indefinitely postponed due to the civil conflict there. Cote D’Ivoire will meet Congo in a clash between the leaders of Group 3, while Mali and Namibia will slug it out at the bottom of the group. Group 5 top dogs Nigeria face Senegal at the low end of their group, while second place Burundi take on Burkina Faso. Kenya meet second place Zambia in Group 6, while first place DR Congo play Madagascar. Bottom-dwellers Algeria play Liberia in Group 7, while leaders Tunisia take on Uganda. The matches will be played February 27-28, and the first two members of each group will advance to the finals.
