FORMER South African captain Tiaan Strauss remains unsigned by the New South Wales Waratahs for next year’s Super 12 rugby tournament. Strauss, who turns 33 next month, said on Wednesday he would probably re-sign for one last season of representative rugby with the Waratahs. “NSW have spoken to me and they’re interested in probably signing me up for another year and I said I’d seriously think of it because I’ve been fairly free from injuries and I’m still enjoying it,” Strauss said. “Probably the last few games weren’t that enjoyable, but otherwise I’ve enjoyed the year and I think I can probably go around for one more.” Some critics have suggested Strauss was snubbed when coach Matt Williams replaced axed captain Michael Brial with Stu Pinkerton, but the South African veteran was diplomatic about the controversial decision.
