AN American citizen wanted on two charges in the United States was traced to Cape Town via the internet, police said on Tuesday. The Federal Investigation Bureau in was looking for Steven Nelson Delit on charges of theft of $1,2-million and of flight to avoid prosecution. A member of the public who was surfing the website of the American Department of Justice realised that Delit, whose name appeared on the site, was living in Cape Town and passed this information on to the American embassy in the city. Cape Town police discovered Delit had left the country for New York on Thursday last week. He was arrested when he arrived there on Friday.
