TEAM TOTAL DOMINATES SASOL RALLY

WITH six team members in the top 10 of both the drivers and co-drivers championships and currently leading four of the six classes, Team Total looks set to make its presence strongly felt in the 1999 Sasol Rally, which starts in Sabie (Mpumalanga) on June 18 and ends in Nelspruit on June 19. It will be the strongest Total-backed contingent (and by far the biggest single-sponsor entry) to contest the popular Mpumalanga Lowveld rally, round three of this year’s Stannic South African Rally Championship, which is evidenced by the fact that they lead four of the six classes being contested. Highest-placed in the points standings after the first two events (the Stannic Tour Natal in March and the Stannic Cape Rally in April) are Etienne Lourens and Robert Paisley, who are fourth overall and third in class A8 in their Team Total Toyota Conquest.
