MALLETT NAMES BLACK BOK

IN the midst of crisis meeings of the South African Rugby Football Union over race selection, Nick Mallett has named Kayalethu Malotana of the Border Bulldogs to the Tri-Nations Springbok team. Mallet was quick to stress that Malotana has “earned his chance”. “I’ve watched his recent performances in the Bankfin Currie Cup with interest and he recently performed exceptionally well against Scotland where he scored two tries.” The payoff for these contributions is Malotana’s first Springbok cap. Mallett added “I felt it would be valuable to have Kaya involved.”
