EMSLIE ADVANCES TO THIRD ROUND

EAST London’s Greg Emslie (22) currently ranked 33rd on the G-SHOCK ASP World Championship Tour emphatically defeated Brazilian Crhistiano Spirro in round two of the Billabong MSF Pro to advance to round three of competition on Friday. Emslie dominated the 30 minute clash from start to finish, posting a whopping 8,0 ride out of a possible 10 points in the dying seconds of the heat, leaving the Brazilian requiring a ride of 8,21 in order to turn the tables when the final siren sounded. Emslie will now face Japan Pro winner Tim Curran (California, USA) in heat five of round three tomorrow. Sean Holmes from the Wilderness will also fly the South African flag in round three tomorrow where he will contend with current ratings leader Mark Occhilupo in heat eight.
