THE seasonally adjusted value of construction work on hand at the end of the first quarter of this year decreased by 5,3% (R862-million) to R15,31-billion compared with the last quarter of 1998, figures released on Thursday by StatsSA showed. However, the value of work done during the first quarter of this year equalled that of the previous quarter.
