FORMER Special Assignment presenter Max du Preez’ case against the SA Broadcasting Corporation was dismissed by the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration on Monday, SABC radio news reports. Du Preez claimed he was unfairly dismissed from the corporation after it decided not to renew his contract a few months ago. The CCMA said it has no jurisdiction to arbitrate the matter as there is no current employment relationship between Du Preez and the corporation. The commission advised that the best forum to take the matter further would be a magistrate’s court.
