OLUMBUS AND NUMSA MEET

COLUMBUS Stainless steel in Middelburg is on Thursday morning meeting the National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa on Thursday morning to discuss the continuing strike by 500 Numsa members. The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration is facilitating the meeting, held at its Witbank office. Numsa and Columbus confirmed the meeting is underway. It follows the Tuesday rejection of a new 7,3% pay rise offered by the company to end the strike, which began on July 12.
