DUDU NKOSI, the girlfriend of alleged heist kingpin Collin Chauke, will appear in the Nelspruit Regional Court for a bail application on Monday after spending 21 weeks in police custody. Nkosi was arrested with Chauke at her Nelspruit townhouse on January 19 and charged with harbouring a wanted criminal. Her bail of R1000 was withdrawn in the District Court on March 29, when investigators slapped 14 fraud charges against her. The trial against her and a former boyfriend, Tom Beck, 23, of Nelsville in Nelspruit, is scheduled to begin on September 30. Nkosi on Friday told the court on Friday she had a child to look after and claimed she was responsible for the maintenance of her late sister’s children and that she is a breadwinner in her family.
