SABC 2 continuity presenter and Generations actress Florence Masebe, who was shot outside her Johannesburg home on Wednesday night, is in a stable condition after a six-hour operation. A spokesman for the Johannesburg private clinic where she was admitted said the surgery went well and Masebe will remain in the high care ward, which is standard practice after an operation. She sustained injuries to her hands, legs and right arm when she was shot after arrival at her Sandton home late on Wednesday night. Police have asked the public for help in identifying a dark green Volkswagen Jetta which was parked near Masebe’s gate and which fled the scene after the shooting, which police believe was carried out with a shotgun. Police spokesman Mark Reynolds says the motive for the shooting is unknown, and the attackers did not attempt to steal Masebe’s car.
