THE Post Office is due to meet with the Communication Workers Union on Thursday afternoon under the auspices of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration in Johannesburg in a bid to resolve their current wage deadlock. This comes after the Post Office on Wednesday gave the union a 48-hour lockout notice. The CWU is demanding a 14% increase, while management is sticking to its offer of 7% for higher-level employees and 10,1% for those on lower levels.
