ELECTRICITY utility Eskom is planning an issue in the international capital markets and could do a deal next month, according to a report in the Business Day on Monday. Officials at Eskom declined to comment on the report, which said that a deal could follow South Africa’s planned 300-million to 500-million euro offering through Deutsche Bank and Warburg Dillon Reed, slated for later this month. The report, quoting unnamed sources, said the offering would be of medium maturity and smaller than the Republic’s prospective issue.
